I went to the National Gallery to deliberately just look at a small number of paintings for longer than normal. Velázquez is wonderful. Not entirely convincing eggs but knows his onions! Oil painting depicting an older woman cooking eggs in a pan over a flame, with a young boy watching intently. They are surrounded by kitchen items including a mortar and pestle, a jug, and some vegetables.

Oil painting close-up of a red onion with roots on a wooden surface, against a dark background with partially visible earthenware vessels.
